1909 - 1914

OUR HISTORY MADDINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL

The Education Department received a written request for a school at Maddington from The Gosnells Road Board on 22nd October 1909.

1927

Reclassified

OUR HISTORY MADDINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL

In 1927 the school was reclassified to a Class V school and Mr. Patrick Moy assumed duties as Headmaster.

1952-1960

Reclassified

 

In 1952 the school was reclassified up to a Class IV with the appointment of Mr. Fred Hollings as Headmaster.

1961 - 1969

Golden Jubulee of the School

Grade 6 - 1965

A reunion was organised and well patronised by ex teachers and students.

1970

Building Plans

 

The 'old' portion of the school, demolished in January 1971.

1974 - 1980

Change of Headmaster

 

Mr. Peter Grice was appointed Headmaster in 1974.

Foundations were excavated for the new Library / Resource Building

Jump Rope for Heart

All children participated enthusiastically in the 'Jump Rope for Heart Project"

Anniversary

 

School celebrated its 70th Year on the current school site.

Installation of a new children's playground.

Construction of the new Undercover Area.

Therapy Room

Official opening of the Therapy Room in the Education Support Centre by the Hon. Sheila McHale.

School Kitchen Garden

Implementation of the School Kitchen Garden.

Building the Education Revolution

 

The official opening of Building the Education Revolution. Presentation of plaque by Senator Glenn Sterle.

100 Years Old
